The Moderate Party of America is not a centrist party. We do not take the Democratic position, take the Republican position, and simply split the difference.
Sometimes common sense leads left. Sometimes it leads right. Sometimes both sides are wrong.
We follow the Constitution, evidence, individual liberty, equal justice, fiscal responsibility, personal responsibility, and what actually works.

Our mission is to build a durable civic home for Americans who want constitutional government, honest public service, practical problem-solving, political competition, and equal treatment under the law.
We believe government should be limited but effective, transparent in its decisions, accountable for its results, and careful with powers borrowed from the people.
PUBLIC TRUST
Government authority is borrowed from the people. Those exercising it assume heightened duties of:
- Truth
- Transparency
- Competence
- Stewardship
- Accountability
The greater the power, the greater the responsibility.
HOW WE EVALUATE POLICY
Before supporting significant government power, MPA asks:
- Is it constitutional and actually necessary?
- What evidence supports it, and will it work?
- What will it cost and what rights will it restrict?
- Is there a less restrictive solution?
- Will it apply equally, and how will success be measured?
Government should act when action is justified, constitutional, effective, and necessary, not merely because “something must be done.”

Does “moderate” mean neutral?
No. Moderation means choosing the best ideas on their merits, regardless of which party or ideology proposed them.
Is MPA simply between the two major parties?
No. We do not split the difference by default. We follow constitutional principles, evidence, equal justice, fiscal responsibility, and practical results.

Founder and Organizational Stewardship Charter
Purpose
The Moderate Party of America recognizes Mitchell Estrada as its founder and founding steward. This charter is intended to preserve MPA’s identity, principles, independence, and continuity, and to prevent the organization from being co-opted, subverted, misrepresented, or redirected for purposes incompatible with its founding mission.
Founder Stewardship
While living and capable of serving, the founder retains the right to approve any material change to MPA’s name, emblem, core mission, foundational principles, organizational identity, merger, dissolution, transfer of intellectual property, or founder succession provisions, to the extent permitted by applicable law and the organization’s governing documents.
The founder may intervene when an officer, board, committee, member faction, donor, outside organization, or coordinated group attempts to seize control of MPA, misuse its identity, conceal material affiliations, abandon its foundational principles, or subordinate the party to another organization or private interest.
Governance and Accountability
Founder stewardship does not eliminate lawful governance, financial accountability, ethical duties, member participation, or the responsibilities of officers and governing bodies. Ordinary governance should operate through MPA’s bylaws and properly adopted procedures, subject to the safeguards in this charter.
No person should receive immunity from accountability because of title, relationship, contribution, influence, or proximity to the founder.
Name, Identity, and Intellectual Property
MPA’s name, marks, emblem, original writings, platform materials, website content, records, and other intellectual property may be used, licensed, transferred, or modified only by the lawful owner or authorized governing body. Any rights personally created, registered, held, or assigned to Mitchell Estrada remain subject to the controlling ownership records and written agreements.
No person or organization may claim ownership of, represent, or materially alter MPA’s identity without documented authority and, while the founder remains living and capable, the founder’s written consent where legally permitted.
Protection Against Co-option
No individual or coordinated group may obtain control through bad-faith enrollment, concealed affiliations, procedural manipulation, financial pressure, misuse of confidential information, unauthorized branding, false public representation, or actions intended to convert MPA into an instrument of another party, organization, donor, ideology, or private interest.
Material conflicts of interest and organizational affiliations must be disclosed. Actions taken through deception, undisclosed coordination, or unauthorized representation may be declared invalid through procedures established in the bylaws.
Succession and Continuity
The founder may designate a successor or stewardship body through a signed written instrument consistent with applicable law and MPA’s governing documents. Any succession plan should preserve the party’s constitutional principles, independence, public mission, records, and intellectual property.
If no valid designation exists, succession will occur under the bylaws and other controlling organizational documents.
